Tara Rath Hired as New Purchasing Manager at Grand + Benedicts

Portland, Ore. – 8/22/24 – Grand + Benedicts is pleased to announce the hiring of Tara Rath as the new Purchasing Manager. Tara brings over 18 years of experience as a buyer, with a strong background in purchasing for multidoor retail stores in the footwear and outdoor industry.

Throughout her career, Tara has held key roles at retailers including Shoemill, Footwise, and Next Adventure. She spent nearly a decade at Shoe Mill, where she played a pivotal role in the company’s growth, helping to expand the chain from 7 to 9 stores. At Footwise, Tara took on purchasing management duties and demonstrated her leadership and commitment to excellence. Most recently, she served as the Senior Footwear and Outdoor Gear Buyer at Portland’s iconic Next Adventure.

Tara holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Communication from Southern Oregon University, a qualification that complements her hands-on experience in retail. Her broad understanding of the retail landscape, coupled with her expertise in making strategic purchasing decisions, makes her an invaluable addition to the Grand + Benedicts team.
